for William Dunbar. Also 0n the 1880 Henry Co. Census for his son
Washington Dunbar ,it shows his father born in Pa.

Married Sarah Prather in Washington Co. Kentucky on 12-26-1807 by the same
justice of peace who married Abraham Lincoln's parents in the same year
Washington Co. Archives Bk 1-80.

Bought 147 acres in Breckenridge Co. from Edmund and Polly Taylor on
10-10-1825 who had purchaced a tract from Robert Rawling 3-22-1823.
Breckenridge Co. Archives G-242

According to his son Washington's death certificate they were in Tazwell
County llinois by 1832 from Breckinridge County Kentucky.

This is further supported by a puchace of land by William Dunbar in
Tazwell Co. on 04-18-1831.

1834 Moved to Knox Co. Ill. from Tazwell Co. Illinois.

Founded the town Lafayette Illinois named after one of his sons LaFayette
pronounced 'Layfayette' no connection to the french it is believed he had
seven children The Dunbar Farm was purchaced from Michael Fraker now
located in Stark Co. SW 1/4 of section 18 in Goshen Twp. The Walnet Grove
on the property is known as Frakers Grove. He Gave his land to his son
LaFayette and went with the gold seekers to California in the 1849 Gold
rush. One article says 13 children I have 14 there may have only been one
William not William P or William C. William was a hatter.

Isaac Pulhamous went back to Illinois in 1858 to get his children and to
care for Sarah Prather Dunbar.

Sarah died shortly after arriving in Kansas without William Dunbar. She is
buried at the Twin Springs Cemetery at Scott Twp, Linn, Kansas.

I assume William went off to California to the gold rush before 1858 since
there is no mention of him in Isaac's obituary. He probably died en route
or in California.

William,s son LaFayette was the first Dunbar land owner in Twin Springs,
Scott Twp, Linn County, Kansas in 1857. LaFayette declared 2 acres of his
land to be a Public Buring Ground Forever and deeded the land to the
county. William probably left Kansas at that time for California. He was born circa 1782 at Pa. He married Sarah Prather, daughter of William Prather and Roseanne Adkisson Rosy, on 26 December 1807 at Washington Co. Kentucky. William Dunbar died after 1855 at Ca.      Jackson Dunbar was buried at Himes Cem. Stark Co. Ill. He Jackson,s birth date conflicts with Lutetia's so I am assuming one is an
error therefore I placed Jacksons birth date as 1819 not 1818 because 45
yrs could be mistaken for 46 yrs on a worn stone. I dont know whether Ted
Hanft had a 1826 date or if it was a guess assuming Jackson was married at
age 20.

Stanley F Dunbar was .. Richard. He Stanley was born before July of 1832 because William mentions Stanley on a
deed in Tazwell County in July of 1832.

According to death dates on the gravestone Stanley was born in 1832. but
this doesn't match the census of 1850 Stark Co. and the numeric counts in
the 1840 Stark Co. Census and the 1830 Breckinridge Co. Census. I arrived
at May 10th from the gravestone however. Also census records state that
Stanley was born in Kentucky. Therefore he had to be born before April of
1831.

Stanley at the time of his death had property in three Illinois Counties,
Bureau, Henry, and Knox.

Stanley's wife Polly was pregnant at the time the will was written.
Therefore another child was born after Stanley's death.

Stanley's will was signed by George Bandy, Richard Bandy, Wilson Bandy,
George Washington Dunbar, Washington Dunbar, Robert R. Dunbar, and Jackson
Dunbar.

Stanley or Stanly is sometimes refered to as Richard on several legal
documents. He was buried at Lafayette Cem, Stark, Il. He was born on 10 May 1834 at Breckinridge, Ky. He married Polly Mary Bandy, daughter of Reuben Bandy and Sibby Adkisson, on 31 October 1851 at Knox Co. Illinois. Stanley F Dunbar died on 22 August 1862 at Wethersfield Twp, Henry, Il.
