Later in his life he became an innovative house builder, designing and
building doubled walled houses (for better insulation) in the 1920's.
He was also a farmer and owned the "Hill Ground" in Sprigg Township of Adams
Co., Ohio at his death, as well as another 100 acres and two houses at
