Notes:
Sherman's farm in Osborne Co. was located on the SW quarter of Section 11,
Valley Township.
Sherman's brother, Tom had the SE quarter of Section 12. Brother Albert was
on Section 22, Jackson Twp.
Sherman and Rodantha were electrocuted on 11 Sept. 1941, when a transformer
short-circuited and put 13.500 volts of electricity on the wires into ther
farm buildings.
It set the barn on fire, and when Sherman threw a bucket of water on the blaze
the electricity followed the water to the bucket and he was killed instantly.
Mrs. Prather went to neighbors to get help, then ran to the fbarn and threw
another bucket of water on the blaxe and was killed in the same manner as her
