    Basil was born in Va. and Married Mary "Polly" George in OH. they later moved
    to Jackson Co., IN. in ca.1817. Basil then later married Priscilla Dobson.
    He was also in Brown Co., Jefferson Co., and Morgan Co., IN.
    He witnessed a deed in Jefferson Co. 27 Dec., 1816
    Basil is listed as being of Nicholas Co., Ky. re; Ripley Co., IN. Deed Book #A
    He bought 160 acres from Jesse & Catherine Gray and Linsfield & Mary Branam.
    He later married Isabell Knox.... but no children was born to this marriage.

    Their marriage certifiate shows Bazzel Prayton (or Praytor)& Mary Polly George
    Mary George is listed in her father, Jesse George's Will and is listed as
    Mary Prator. The George family were from English stock.

    In the abstract of the marriages for Gallia Co., Ohio, the entry above Basil's
    is for James Simms and Martha Praytor, Basil's sister with the same marriage
    date and preacher. Apparently they had a double wedding.
