Raymond spent a lot of time doing ground breaking work on the Collings
family genealogy in the 1950's. He worked along with Meltrude L. Stohl to
find out a lot of the info that is now known for the record.
Raymond's eyesight failed him so he couldn't continue with his work. For a
while his wife Ruth did all the typing and reading for him till he had a
stroke in the mid 1960's. Raymond died in 1969.Raymond married Ruth Isabella Dunbar 27 Apr 1918, Peoria Illinois. Ruth (daughter of Harry Melvin Dunbar and Bessie Ambelina Newell) was born 15 Jul 1895, Galva, Henry Co. Illinois; died 14 Sep 1981, Phoenix, Maricopa, az; was buried , Chapel Hill Cemetary Worth Illinois. [Group Sheet]
