    Notes:

Jackson,s birth date conflicts with Lutetia's so I am assuming one is an
error therefore I placed Jacksons birth date as 1819 not 1818 because 45
yrs could be mistaken for 46 yrs on a worn stone. I dont know whether Ted
Hanft had a 1826 date or if it was a guess assuming Jackson was married at
    age 20.

Jackson and Mary Ann Dunbar were sometimes refered to as John and Anna
Dunbar and lived near a place called Jackies Point near LaFayette
    Illinois.

Jackson married Mary Ann Wright 19 Nov 1846, Stark Co. Ill.. Mary was born 20 Mar 1831, New York; died 03 Jan 1889, Stark Co. Ill.; was buried , Himes Cem. Stark Co. Ill.. [Group Sheet]

Born in Pennsylvania and shown as that on the 1850 Stark Co. Ill. Census
for William Dunbar. Also 0n the 1880 Henry Co. Census for his son
Washington Dunbar ,it shows his father born in Pa.

Married Sarah Prather in Washington Co. Kentucky on 12-26-1807 by the same
justice of peace who married Abraham Lincoln's parents in the same year
    Washington Co. Archives Bk 1-80.

Bought 147 acres in Breckenridge Co. from Edmund and Polly Taylor on
10-10-1825 who had purchaced a tract from Robert Rawling 3-22-1823.
    Breckenridge Co. Archives G-242

According to his son Washington's death certificate they were in Tazwell
County llinois by 1832 from Breckinridge County Kentucky.

This is further supported by a puchace of land by William Dunbar in
    Tazwell Co. on 04-18-1831.

1834 Moved to Knox Co. Ill. from Tazwell Co. Illinois.

Founded the town Lafayette Illinois named after one of his sons LaFayette
pronounced "Layfayette" no connection to the french it is believed he had
seven children The Dunbar Farm was purchaced from Michael Fraker now
located in Stark Co. SW 1/4 of section 18 in Goshen Twp. The Walnet Grove
on the property is known as Frakers Grove. He Gave his land to his son
LaFayette and went with the gold seekers to California in the 1849 Gold
rush. One article says 13 children I have 14 there may have only been one
William not William P or William C. William was a hatter.

Isaac Pulhamous went back to Illinois in 1858 to get his children and to
    care for Sarah Prather Dunbar.

Sarah died shortly after arriving in Kansas without William Dunbar. She is
buried at the Twin Springs Cemetery at Scott Twp, Linn, Kansas.

I assume William went off to California to the gold rush before 1858 since
there is no mention of him in Isaac's obituary. He probably died en route
    or in California.

William,s son LaFayette was the first Dunbar land owner in Twin Springs,
Scott Twp, Linn County, Kansas in 1857. LaFayette declared 2 acres of his
land to be a Public Buring Ground Forever and deeded the land to the
county. William probably left Kansas at that time for California.

William married Sarah Prather 26 Dec 1807, Washington Co. Kentucky. Sarah (daughter of William Prather and Roseanne Adkisson, Rosy) was born Abt 1790, of, Hardinsburg, Breckenridge, Ky; died Bef 1860, Twin Springs, Linn, Ks; was buried , Twin Springs Cemetary Linn Co. Scott Twp. [Group Sheet]

According to the Stark Co. Ill. census she was born in Virginia.. 1832
Moved from Breckenridge Kentucky to Tazwell County Illinois. In 1834 they
    moved to Knox Co. Ill.

Sarah took care of Isaac and Lutitia Pulhamous' children after Lutitia
died in 1846 at her request.

    Sarah.
