    Organized for three months under Colonel Alex. M. McCook, it served near
    Washington City (Washington D.C.) in Schenck's Brigade, Tyler's Div.,
    McDowell's Army of Northeast VA. Actions at Vienna, VA., June 17 and
    July 9. McDowell's advance on Manassas, VA., July 16-21. Occupation of
    Fairfax Court House, VA. July 17. Battle of Bull Run, VA. July 21.
    Covered retreat to Washington. Ordered to Ohio and mustered out 2 Aug., 1861,
    Expiration of Term.
    It was engaged in 24 battles and skirmishes, lost 527 mem in action, and
    marched over 2,500 miles.

    Organized at Camp Corwin, Dayton, Ohio, 5 Aug., to 30 Oct., 1861.
    Moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, 31 Oct.,; thence to Louisville, KY. 5 Nov.,
