    Thomas Prator:
    Died before 28 Mar., 1867 as shown in the suit of Benjamin Prator vs. Josiah
    (Joseph) Prator. Publication has been made for the non resident defendants.
    They have failed to answer with the exception of Allen Youngblood & Wife.
    Thomas Prator died intestate in Warren Co. and complainant was appointed his
    administrator. Said (decd.) died siezed and possessed of one half interest in
    a certain tract of land conveyed to them in their joint names by their father
    Archable Prator. There is but one debt claimed against Said Thomas by
    Elizabeth Prator. (Warren Co., TN. Chan. Court Min. 3/617)

    Thomas Prater and Letty were in Cannon Co., TN. in 1850, they were in KY.
    from 1857 up to 1863, and shows in Warren Co., TN. 16 July, 1866
    when he purchased 40 acres of land recorded Warren Co., Deed Book #2 p. 205
    "I G.W.F.Wale, have this day bargained and sold to Thomas Prator, a tract
    or parcel of land, containing by estimation 40 acres, be the same more or
    less, being in the county of Warren, on the head waters of the Barren Fork
    Dist. 11 State of TN., for the sum of $150.00. One bay mare paid in hand, and
    one note for $25. due the 24th of Dec., 1867. The said land being Warren Co.
    Dist. 11 State of TN. it bounded as follows. Beginning on a black oak the
    North Esast corner of the Dabney Sandridge tract of land; thence South on the
    original line 72 1/4 poles to a black oak, thence west 89 1/4 poles to a
    stake; Thence North to the original line between Wale and Caroline Sandridge
    to a stake 72 1/4 poles, thence east 89 1/4 poles to the beginning; which the
    said Prator has paid me in hand one bay mare, and executed his note to me for
    $25., due the 24th Dec., 1867, including all land and tenements in said
    boundary. To have and hold the same to the said Prator his heirs and assigns
    forever.... July the 16th 1866."

    "Know all men that for consideration of one hundred dollars to us in hand
    paid we have this day bargained sold and do hereby convey unto Nathaniel Fmry
    his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying and
    situated on the head waters of Tumbling Creek in the County of Humphrey and
    state of TN. and containing by astimation one hundred acres entered in the
    name of JOHN PRATER and granted unto him in the year of 1827. To have and
    to hold and to hold the above mentioned tract of land for his own use and
    special benefit and every part thereof.
