  !He was born in Ind.and then moved with his folks to Iowa until 1860 when they crossed the plains to Stockton,Calif.They spent the first year on the Peter Clapp Ranch,next year moved to a cattle ranch,3 miles west of Ripon.The 1880 census say s he was 48 years old,this makes him b.1832.I show him married to 2 Nancy Underwoods,there is a disagreement over her parents,I preffer the 2nd one,it is from the Hughes records.WJP Hughes records says he is buried in Park View,I kno w some Ripon graves were moved to Park View ?
