• Notes

  There was a mass migration of many members of the Praytor family from AL. to TX. before and after the Civil War. He lived for a time in DeWitt Co., TX. and is listed in 1850 census. When William got to Saline Co., Ark. he was sick. They settled for a while until he was well, but they desided it was a nice place to live so he and his friend William Martin decided not to continue on with the others. They settled there and his children lived in the area.(3 of them lived in Benton, Ark.) Then later he went on to Texas and had settled in Just. 2nd Pct. of Milan Co.,Tx. by the 1880 census.(Record:E;101;66/1880 census)/ G.B.Prather
