  * Killed at Battle of Vicksburg, Miss. (Conferderate Soldier). Brought a wagon load of very badly needed food into Vicksburg during its sheage, and did this at great risk to his life. At this he was sucessful but was later shot in the head while walking down a trench. He was from "The Cedars Plantation" Sumterville, Ala.
