  !There is information here from two sources,these notes and two daughters come from Barons by Tenure,which doesn't give a son,this son and father could be the same person.Robert was son and heir of Wark.Fought in Scotland,1291 (Pat.19 Edw.1.m 12); and in Gascony 1294 (Rot.Vasc.22 Rdw.1.m 9d).He was summoned to Parliment by Writs directed "Roberto de Ros de Werke",24 June,Ist Oct.and 2nd Nov.1295,by which he may be considered to have become Lord Ros of Wark..The next year,however,being in lo ve with a Scotch woman.he threw off his alliegeance to Edw.1,and joined the Scots.He sacked the village of Presson,Northumb.,and joining force with Sir William Wallace,Besieged his own Castle of Wark,held by his brother William de Ros of Kendal.He had two daughters his coheirs,viz.Margaret and Isabel.
