Clifford,he gave a Salt-pit in Wich,pertaining to his manor of Wichbold.for the souls of Walter's dau.Rosomond,and Walter's wife Margaret,whose bodies were there buried. (Mon.Ang.II.884b n 10;I.528a n 50 ): and to the Monks
of Lyre,he quitted all his interest in the Church of Tetbury. He married Amice,said to have been daughter of
Walter de Clifford (Nash,Worcestershire,I.241 ).His grant to Godstow supports the Theory that his wife was Rosomond Clifford's sister.He died without issue 1186,when his brother Hugh fined 200 marks for livery of his lands.Rot.Pip.Hen.2.Heref.).
