  !He was 15 when his father died.His wardship was granted to Ralph Lord Nevill 15th May 1343.Though still under age,he fought at Crecy 26th Aug.1346,and at Nevill's Cross,17th Oct.following.and returning to France,took part in the siege of Calai s the next year.On the 19th June 1350,having made proof of his age,he had livery of his lands.He was summoned to Parliment,25th Nov.1350 and 20th Nov.1351.He married whilst still a child,28th Aug.1339,Margaret,dau.of Ralph Lord Nevill of Raby.
