  *John came with his parents to Tx. in 1871, he was 16 years old. He became a very highly respected farmer/rancher. He was a member of the Odd Fellows, a Mason, and a Democrate. In 1897 he moved his family from his ranch located on the west Co. line to Stoneburg's suburb, where he continued the affairs of his varied interest.
