  Basil was born in Va. and Married Mary "Polly" George in OH. they later moved to Jackson Co., IN. in ca.1817. Basil then later married Priscilla Dobson. He was also in Brown Co., Jefferson Co., and Morgan Co., IN. He witnessed a deed in Jefferson Co. 27 Dec., 1816 Basil is listed as being of Nicholas Co., Ky. re; Ripley Co., IN. Deed Book #A He bought 160 acres from Jesse & Catherine Gray and Linsfield & Mary Branam. He later married Isabell Knox.... but no children was born to this marriage.
