Notes - He moved from Maryland to Newberry, S.C. sometime around the 1780's after his
service in the Rev. War.
He is listed 1790 census Newberry Co., South Carolina Roll #3 p.77
9 Ec., 1803 he bought from Marmaduke Mills, 107 acres on the Bush River.
He died in 1814 without a Will among the recorded propery sold were books,
a loom, bee hives, and 6 negro slaves.
By about 1825 Zachariah's wife had died and all of his children had moved away
from Newberry Co., except for Nancy who died in Newberry.
Nancy Prater Sheppard is buried in the Ramage-Sheppard Cem. near Newberry.
"Zacci" was his nik name, he was listed as Solder #140 in Rev. War records in
Maryland.
He died without leaving a Will. His estate was sold with his wife as the
principal buyer.
