• Notes

  Mackey was a private in Artillery, 2nd. Reg. Co. "K" / From Edgefield Co.,S.C. He enlisted in the Confed. Army 13 Apr., 1862 at Ft.Johnson. When the 1850 Census was taken he was single, living at home with his mother. His Will was dated 25 Dec., 1862 and proven 14 Feb., 1866 ; recorded Will Bk. A page 84 Lexington Co., S.C. He was captured by the Ohio Army and died in a prisoner of war camp in 1865.
