Notes - Though many home were located in the Rrileysburg Community, Isaac and Hannah
built the first house in the village itself. A small three room hone was
rraised within the first months of their married life. The house was altered
as necessary to accommodate their growing family of ten children.
a portion of their house is incorporated into the home of grraddaughter, Irma
Lee Prather Crist.
Isaac also built the first store in town, on the east side of the road and
north of the rrailroad tracks. He was also the first station agent fro the
railroad after the station was promoted from its origianal flag station
status. Isaac became the first postmaster, receiving the first mail in
Rileysburg, 2 Apr., 1887.
