  • Notes
    • After his marriage Lewis rented land from his father for a few years and then
bought 110 acres in St. Albans Twonship. He rebuilt the house, making it a two
story, seven room residence, and also erected a large barn, and otherwise
improved the place until he now has a very valuable property. Here Mr.
Prayther carries on general farming and dairying, selling his cream, and he
also raises Hereford and Short Horn cattle and DUROC-Jersey hogs and draft
      horses.
Mr. Prather and the members of his family are members of the Methodist
Episcopal Church, which Mr. Prather is also a trustee.
Politically his is a Demorcrat. He belongs to Stillwell Camp, M. W. A.
and has been manager and sentry of it.
On 16 Oct., 1916 , Mr.& Mrs. Prather out of the kindness of their hearts took
into their home a little boy, Union Waters, born 9 June, 1905, whom they are
rearing as their own. They are most excellent people and none stand any higher
      in their neighborhood.
