      ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Joseph and his brother, Edward Gaither Jacob, moved to Knox/Anderson County, Tennessee by 1798 and moved on to Wilson County, Tennessee by 1804, where they were counted on that county's tax list. Both added an "s" to their last name. Joseph died in Bedford, Co., 9 Dec 1838. His wife was Lucy, LNU. People give her maiden name as Greenberry, but this has never been documented. Lucy probably died in Rutherford County, Tennessee after 1841.
      Edward G. Jacobs' granddaughter, Celia, married a Thomas "Prater," in 1838, Rutherford County, TN. For years I've tried to connect him to a Phillip Prather and wife, Cynthia Eoff, who lived near some of my Jacobs' in Rutherford. Phillip is said to be the grandson of Philomin Gittens Prather and Margery Hunt. Don't know if this is true or heresay.
