  They moved from Magoffin Co., Ky. to Sullivan Co., Mo. in the fall of 1867. In 1879 they moved to South West Mo. and bought land in McDonald Co., Mo. near Pineville where they lived and farmed for a number of years. While living near Pineville, a man was hired to work on the farm mostly for his room and board. Being a large family, the boys slept in the bunk-house with the hired man. The hired man, after working for almost a year, was found to have Tuberculosis. All of the family was exposed to T.B. In 1893 Isaac moved his family to ;the Indian Territory (Okla.) where they operated a large farm near the village of Grove. Here thir son Samuel Edgar died in 1904 of T.B. Their sons James and John had come west to Colfax, Whitman co., Wa. in 1890. Their son and daughter, Clarence and Jemima came to Sandpoint, Bonner Co., Idaho around 1900. They had urged their parents to come west. Clarence had died of T.B. ;in Priest River, Bonner Co., Idaho in 1903. In 1910 they moved to Sandpoint, Bonner Co., Idaho and Isaac Henry Prater passed away, a few months after arriving in Sandpoint, of T.B. Rhoda Priscilla had two children at home, Mary Elizabeth and Harry. Mary Elizabeth met and married George Rose in 1911 and passed away later that year of T.B. A mountain which is located on the east side of Priest River, Idaho is named Prater Mountain in honor of Isaac Prater.
