- The Prater & Henshaw families were closely related back in earlier
Kentucky. Many of Archibalds descendants were found in Floyd Co., KY.
I do not know how the following Henshaw family is related to Lillie
Mae Henshaw but I include this info. here for other researchers who
may have a interest in this family:
Floyd Co., KY. Deed Book G page 94 2 Sept., 1854
Harris Hanshew and Eva Hanshew, his wife, late Eva Prater, William Prater,
Danial richardson and Mary Richardson, his wife, late Mary Prater, Samuel
Prater, Elias Prater, Thomas Prater sold to John Shepard for $300. dollars all
claim to land which was alloted to us by the commissioner appointed by the
Floyd Co., Court to lay off the same... on Brushy Fork of Beaver Creek also
all our interest in a tract on Bushy fork of Beaver Creek (there is 30 A. in
this boundary claimed by a prior survey containing 180 A.)
Signed Harris Hanshew, William Prater, Daniel Richardson, Mary Richardson,
Thomas Prater, elias Prater, Samuel Prater.

Acknowledged by Harris Hanshew and Eva, Daniel Richardson and Mary,
and Elias Prater on 2 Sept., 1854, William Prater on 11 Sept., 1854;
Thomas Prater on 17 Sept., 1855 and Samuel Prater on 17 Mar., 1856.
Deed Book G page 138 22 Oct., 1856:
Thomas Prater Sr. and Sarah, his wife sold to David Martin for $200. land on
Salt Lick a branch of Beaver Creek which I sold unto the said David martin on
15 Mar., 1853 for which he held on me a bond bearing the same date.

Deed Book F page 543 11 Feb., 1854
Harris henshoe sold to Samuel Prater 25 A. for $1. land on the Trace Fork
of Middle Fork beginning at the Big Lick ... across said creek to conditional
line between Samuel Prater and David W. Allen .. also including all land in
back survey made by Henshoe from the dividing line between Thomas Prater and
Samuel Prater up to the dividing line said Prater and D.W. Allen.
