  William or "Will" or "Willie" as he was called by the family got very sick sometime after 1904 and his wife was supporting the family by taking in washing and picking over harvested fields for corn. William got a bit better and his family wanted him to come back to Iowa. So, he went by himself and left the wife and children behind. He got sick again and they thought he died, however his wife was said to have gotten a divorce from him. She then married William Smith Cochran. The family then states that the Prathers moved from Iowa to the Chickashaw Nation, Indian Territory (now Okla.)
