  Isaac and Maria was living in Mercer Co., Ky in 1840 (1840 cens.) It is recorded: ONE SON under 5 Years --ONE SON between 5 & 10 years ----- TWO DAUGHTERS under 5 years and 15 slaves. By 1845 he and his family are found in Nodaway Township, (Marysville P.O.) Nodaway Co., Mo. (1860 census) He came to Mo. between 1843 and 1845. He was a Col. in the Civil War and his tomb stone states "Col. Prather " died a loyal Missourian".
