Notes - George Gordon was a Corporal in Capt. William Rippey's Co. of the 6th PA.
Battalion and in 1776 became the 7th Regiment in the 2nd. Canada Expedition.
He participated in the battle of Three Rivers, 8 June 1776. After his term
expired he returned to Antrim Twsp, Clumberland,Franklin Co.,Pa. where he was
enrolled in John Jack's Co. of Col. Abraham Smith's Bat.,Clumberland Co.,Assco
He moved to the Moussouri Territory where he was murdered on his door step
by ambush due to a dispute over ownership of negro slaves. (St.Louis,Mo.)
