  4-28-1918 Inducted into Army for World War I Became Sgt. 11-1-18 Discharged 12-7-1918. Started work for the Lake Erie & Western Railroad on 8-1914 and retired from the New York Chicago & St. Louis Railroad ( The Nickel Plate) on 7-1-64 In 1929 They Moved to Chicago Ill. Raymond spent a lot of time doing ground breaking work on the Collings family genealogy in the 1950's. He worked along with Meltrude L. Stohl to find out a lot of the info that is now known for the record. Raymond's eyesight failed him so he couldn't continue with his work. For a while his wife Ruth did all the typing and reading for him till he had a stroke in the mid 1960's. Raymond died in 1969.
