Katherine Prater of Hooke, parish of Lyddiard Traggoose, Wiltshire Co.,
widow. Will dated 18 March 1641/2 and proved 20 Sept., 1642 To parish
church of Liddiard Tregoze 3/4. To Francis Morris of Cranham, Gloucestershire
L- 5 of good and lawful money of England on day of her marriage. To John
Prater of North Lyddiard, "late husband's kinsman" annuity of 2/- To son
Giles Prater one pair of handyrons (metal dogs for hearth), one kettle in his
possession. To son Peter Prater, one pan. To daughter Elizabeth George 12/-
To daughter Alice Sadler 12d. To son-in-law Richard Harlod, 12/- and to his
children and Edward Hooper's Children all money owed by Thomas Whiteare of
London, butcher, equally divided. All goods after debts to daughters Dulcebell
Prater and Ann DPrater, they to be Executiexes, Landlord, Sir John St. John,
Knight, Bart. and John Bathe to be Overseers. Witnesses: Johyn Weeke, John
Bathe and William Franklin. Proved by daughters Dulicbell Prater, reserved
daughter Ann Prater.
