  Sarah was called "Sally". It has been handed down in the family that her first son, Elijah, was born out of wedlock. He was said to be the son of David Picklesimer, who did not marry Sally until much later in life. Elijah went to live with his Uncle William Prater at about the age of 15. Elijah was mentioned in his grandfather, Archibald Praters, Will. The Will stated "Elijah Prater, son of my daughter Sally."
