Loy P. Prather, Pioneer, Dies
Loy P. Prather, 64 pioneer of the Stillaquarmish Vally, and long a resident of
the Oso district, died Saturday, May 5, 1951 at an everett hospital. His home
was at 1923 Thirty-third Street, Everett.
Mr. Prather was born in Kansas July 4, 1886, and came ot Snohomish County in
1890.
He was a member of the Mt. Wheeler Grange and Stillaguarmish Valley Pioneers
Association. Mr. Prather was survived by Widow, Bessie; four sons, Eldon,
donald, Elmer, and Frank; three daughters, Genevieve Wilson, Joyce Lampley and
Dorothy Robbins; Two brothers Arthur, Edward of Seattle; two sisters, Effie
McGilvary and Ada Jenkins of Everett.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Moll's Funeral Home in
Arlington, with Burial in Arlington cemetery.
