  His wife was born and raised in Morgan Co., IN. It is said that she went to school with John Dillinger, the famous bank robber. It is also said that Robert Prater occasionally ran with John Dillinger and members of his gang. Robert robbed a bank and was put in prison for a time. Doc# 8664 Joilet State Prison, IL. circa 1930's. The bank he robbered was said to be in Crown Point ??
