  Dora Sessom had a brother, Bob Sessom who lived Duncan, AZ. and a sister Lucie (Resmussen) who lived at 9419 S.E. 32 Ave., Portland, OR. In a letter from Lucie Resmussen to Burt Prather, she states that Dora was 1st. married to Eurn Kirkland who fathered 3 children with Dora and later died in Mason Co., TX. Dora then met and married Joe Prather in Demming, N.M. They later moved to Cottage Grove, OR. where Joe had a claim. Joe Prather fathered 5 children with Dora while at Cottage Grove, OR. Joe deserted Dora for a time then returned and placed her and her children on a train to San Antonio, TX. Joe went on to Junction City, TX. and Dora had to place all the children in an orphanage in San Antonio. Dora was not heard from for over 15 years when she was found to have married George H. Hallet and moved to Nezperoe, ID. She must have kept in some contact with her children at the orphanage because her son Robert Prather visited her in Nezperoe, ID. In 1921 Dora became ill and contacted Lucie and then moved to Portland, OR. with Lucie where she later died in 1923. Her husband, George H. Hallet was still living in Nezperoe, ID. at the time.
