  1850 Census Warren Co., TN. 162, Dist. 13, Dewelling 1081. Thomas was listed still living with his father at age 33, his father listed age 84. In 1852 Archelaus Prater deeded to his sons, Thomas Prater & Benjamin P. Prater all of Archelaus property including the Mill dwelling house. In 1854 Thomas Prater & Benjamin P. Prater entered 350 acres and no slaves. Thomas M. Prater died before 9 Nov., 1866 without a Will.
