  There is aother spelling variation for his name which is found more frequently than Adkerson........ that spelling is Adkinson or Adkins. I have record of several Prather/Prater and Adkinson marriages and also land transactions, thus it appears that the Prather family and Adkinson family were closely tied in the early history of America.
