    • !He is mentioned in the Will of John Lucas of Ramsay,Essex.Proved in 1599.

      He had 7 children in Eng.he brought 2 to America,Reinold &Mary#2.The Others Died in Eng.He inherited from his father,realestate at Moyse Hall near Great Bentley.He was one of the overseers in 1625-37,according to the Registory of St. Marys,an d of the Wardens in 1627-33-34.His brother came to America more than a year before him.The last mention of his name in Great Bentley was in 1637.He was in Hartford,Conn.in 1638.His home lot in Hartford was at the north end of the west field,nea r those of Thomas Upson and Thomas Barnes.Abt. 1640 He moved to Farmington,Conn.of which He was one of the earliest propeitors and later to Saybrook at the mouth of the Conn. River.He was made a Freeman of Saybrook,20 May 1658.At last account,som e of his decendants owned part of the original homestead in Lyme.His will was presented for probate 9 Jul 1663. Another source has his will dated 23 May 1662 and probated 28 oct 1662.
      At his death his principal possessions were in Lyme,and he was easily the third and probably the second man in respect to possessions there.His estate was valued at eight hundred and twenty pounds sterling.a very unusual amount for that perio d of time in New England.Married in England,abt 1616 or 1618, Mary,who came with him to America and d.abt 1661.issue nine children.
