  !Mathew Marvin came to New England in 1635 He arrived 4 April 1635 on the ship 'Increase'. He was one of the original proprietors of Hartford Conn.He died in 1687.The christian name of his first wife,who came with him from England,was Elizabeth.Late in life he married ,for his second wife,Mrs.Alice Kellogg of Norwalk.All of his children wre by Elizabeth.[7] Th e 2nd marriage is contested,I have Information that she was Alice Bouton{Boughton} New England History (1899) says,probably Lydia,Certainly Samuel & Rachael were Alice Bouton's children. !He inherited a Mansion called The Edons,in Great Bentley,The house still stands.He was the youngest in his family.
