  !4th son,succeeded as earl of Thanet,1683.As heir to his Grandmother,and as the sole Lineal and right heir,of Robert de Clifford.sum.to Parl.as lord de Clifford,by writ.29 Dec.1300,he had that title allowed to him & his heirs by the House of Peers,12 Dec. 1691.dyed 30 July 1729. !He claimed the Barony of Clifford as heir to the above mentioned Robert de Clifford,Earl of Cumberland,and had it allowed by the House of Peers,12 Dec.1691,dyed 3 July 1729.
