  He resided in Indiana, Missouri, and Oregon. He was a Farmer or Rancher. This family information received from Eva McClellin, Route 1, Noti, Oregon by Jeanne Drew Shebley.I got Eva's records,she gives place of marriage as Macon Co.MO.He was Capt.of the wagon train,and when they reached the Columbia River the oxen rushe d for the water,he tried to stop them.He died thre days later from pneumonia,is buried at the Dalles,OR.Jean Drew Shebley's recoders give the m.date for Mary Jane Stull as 17 jul 1841,this would make the first six kids from another wife,also ther e are kids buried in Mason Co.IL that belonged to Joseph Marvin.I had felt that Mary came with him from IN,If not ,he had to have another wife.Maybe now I can find him.
