  • Notes
    • Terrell hung himself in the Davis City Jail at about 6:00 p.m. Monday
      2 Dec., 1996.
Terrell was badly handycapped from birth defects and deformity of his arms and
      hands.
He was also disabled due to injuries he recieved by falling off a building,
causing major damage to his legs and sholder. (he was about 30 yrs old)
He also recieved major injuries in an automoble accident when he was forced
face first through the windshield, this crushed his face and caused other
major injuries. (at about age 38)
He suffered much in his life and turned to alcahal for escape.

On 1 Dec., 1996 the family had its Thanksgiving gathering and Terrell
attended. He was pleasant, happy and played ball with his son and grandson.
He talked to his brother about being troubled over the recent death of his
grandmother Wilkes and the problems he had been facing with his health and
poor fisical condition and he was very troubled over the fact that his
fathers health was failing do to cancer. His mind seemed to be very
troubled and seemed to be in a state of depression that he could not pull
      himself out of.

Monday afternoon he went to the bar that he frequented and began drinking.
By the time he left the bar he had too much to drink and lost control of his
pickup and jumped the median hitting a sign. He was arrested at about 3:35
p.m. and placed in the Davis City Jail, by 6:00 p.m. he had killed himself.
He tied the bedsheet to the top of the jail door and the other end around his
neck and simply set down and choked himself to death. It is certain that
he had great determination to end his life and suffering.

In his will he stated that he wanted the cheapest funeral possible.
The family gave him a simple grave side service to honor his wishes.
Their was a great crowd of friends and family in attendance.
He was loved very much by his family and thought highly of by his friends,
      he will be missed!

      G.B. Prather (Brother)
