Dale Roy "Chief" Prater, 67, retired from the U.S. Air Force and
Lockheed-Martin, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999
at a local hospital.

Memorials: Chief and Okie Prater Memorial Library and St. Francis
Espiscopal Church.

Chief Prater was born Jan., 9, 1932 in San Pedro, Calif. He was a
loving father, granfather and friend to many. He was deeply loved
and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was
preceded in death by his loving wife, Velma "Okie" Prater.

Survivors: Sons, Craig Collins, Christopher Collins and his wife
Sherrie and Kent Collins, all of Texas; daughter Nancy Martin
of Calif.; brother, Ricard Collins of Washington; sister, Kim
Sneider of Florida; and grandchildren, Craig, Jason, Cory,
Ashley and Sidney.

After his retirement from the US Air Force he had his name changed
back to Dale Roy Prater.
