    Notes:

    When he reached school age he attended a country school, which he called the
    Moss Grove Academy, six months a year.
    At age of about 20 to age 30 (1886 to 1896) were strenuous and ambitious ones;
    they encompass his completion of the course at Edinboro State Normal;
    completin of a business course of Stenography and typewriting in the Erie
    Business School; two years in Alleghaeny College; completion of a course in
    law and admission to the Crawford County, PA. Bar (2 June, 1896)
    The next year (1897) he married.
    After practicing law eleven years at Meadville, PA., he was cleoted president
    judge of the 30th Judicial District, being Crawford Co., taking office the
    first Monday of Jan., 1908: he was re-elected in 1917 for ten years and
    completed his twenty years service on the bench the first Monday of Jan. 1928.

    Thomas married Margaret A. Kramer 04 Aug 1897, Allegheny, Md.. Margaret was born 09 Feb 1874, Oil City, Pa.; died , Meadville, Pa.. [Group Sheet]
